The House of Dasheen

Crafted by handin Accra

A universal fashion house dressing brides, families and milestone moments in made-to-measure pieces — designed and finished entirely by hand.

Our story

Dasheen Atelier began with a love of fabric — sketches in the margins of schoolbooks — and grew into an atelier built for life's most considered moments.

From the first illustration to the final fitting, every piece is treated as a portrait rather than a product — made to measure, and made to last.

What we believe

A quieter kind of luxury

Three principles guide everything that leaves the studio.

01

Made to measure

Every garment is patterned and cut to your exact measurements, then refined across a series of personal fittings — never off the rack.

02

Hand-finished in Accra

From beadwork to hems, the finishing is done by hand in our Accra atelier, where patience is treated as part of the craft.

03

Heritage, carried forward

West African craft meets a modern bridal sensibility — pieces that honour where you come from while feeling entirely of today.

Where every piece begins

At Dasheen Atelier, we bring creativity to life through fashion illustrations that capture the essence of style, movement, and design. Our illustrations serve as a bridge between concept and creation, offering a visual representation of ideas before they materialise into garments. Whether for design development, brand storytelling, or marketing, each illustration is tailored to inspire and to communicate your vision with precision and artistry.

The hands behind Dasheen

Dasheen Atelier is led by a designer whose love affair with fabric began long before fashion became a profession — sketching gowns in the margins of schoolbooks and tracing silhouettes from the women in her family. What started as a personal devotion to craft has grown into an atelier built around one quiet conviction: every woman deserves to feel like the most considered person in the room.

Each piece that leaves the studio carries her signature — a blend of West African heritage, modern bridal sensibility, and the patient discipline of couture. From the first illustration to the final fitting, she works closely with each client, treating every gown as a portrait rather than a product.

Beyond the atelier, she has made it her mission to nurture the next generation of African designers through Dasheen's professional fashion school — passing on the techniques, taste, and rigor that have shaped her own work. Whether dressing a bride or training an apprentice, the goal remains the same: to make beauty that lasts.
